After being on the verge of dying, Davey comes from behind and strikes Jenny. Cassie completes the rescue by hitting her in the head. Post this, everything goes back to normal. Davey is back with Rick; Megan and her family are in witness protection under new identities; Cassie is back as a flight attendant; she also patches up things with her mom; and finally, Annie and Max are getting married. Cassie has finally been cut loose from her CIA duties by Benjamin: life is good again.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 - Episode 8

The second season of "The Flight Attendant" has come in for a landing, and while the experience of riding out these eight episodes felt a bit bumpy, the snacks were great and the view from the window seat was nice and clear. So clear, in fact, that I could see the outcome of the finale upon initial take off. But, despite the predictability of the murder mystery plot line, and the unnecessary goofiness of Cassie's other selves popping up like little blond devils on her shoulders, the heart of this season that dealt with a woman's struggle with sobriety and her difficulty with loving herself enough to not self-sabotage everything healthy in her life was impactful.

As the episode clicks to an end, putting a bow on the season with each main character receiving their proper send-off, we watch Cassie put her drama to bed, issue by issue. She's got 30 (real) days sober, she's back working for Imperial Atlantic, she even has a healing phone call with her mom Lisa, allowing us some very pleasurable final moments with Sharon Stone. But where's Davey (T. R. Knight), her brother?

In The Flight Attendant season 2 episode 1, Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) told everyone she was doing great. It quickly transpired that the smile she had plastered across her face was masking the truth about her newfound happiness. Impulsive and self-destructive behavior continues even when Cassie is not drinking alcohol.

American flight attendant Cassie Bowden is a reckless alcoholic who drinks during flights and spends her time having sex with strangers, including her passengers. When she wakes up in a hotel room in Bangkok with a hangover from the night before, she discovers the dead body of a passenger on her last flight lying next to her with his throat slashed. Afraid to call the police, she cleans up the crime scene, then joins the other airline crew traveling to the airport. In New York City, she is met by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents who question her about the layover in Bangkok. Still unable to piece the night together, and suffering intermittent flashbacks/hallucinations about it, she begins to wonder who the killer could be.

Season 2 takes place a year after the events of the previous season. Cassie now works part-time as an asset for the CIA, where she surveils people in between flights. She has been sober for a year, is a regular member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and has relocated to Los Angeles, where she has a new boyfriend, Marco. During an assignment in Berlin, her target is assassinated by a woman pretending to be her, down to the tattoo. She is haunted by the images of her doppelgänger and tries to figure out who is impersonating her, while suffering hallucinations once again, this time of the past versions of herself who try to persuade her to revert to who she once was. It is later revealed that Cassie's year of sobriety is a sham and that she had relapsed at least twice within that period, but suppressed the memory of doing so.
